MOLIERE'S "L'AVARE" IS CERCLE PREMIERE TONIGHT"

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The premiere presentation of the Cercle Francais play "L'Avare," Moliere's famous classic comedy, will be given in Jordan Hall, Boston, at 8.30 o'clock this evening.

Under the direction of Ernest Perrin, veteran impresario for the Cercle, a cast of experienced amateurs will interpret the subtleties of the popular French satire.

Four of the male actors are Frenchmen and Miss Natalie Potter, the leading feminine player, has had three years training with the Comedle Francaise.

A matinee is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon to accommodate several hundred secondary school students who have arranged to attend the play.

"L'Avare" was written in the 17th Century, and is a satirical character study of a miser as well as a comedy aimed at the foibles of the court. The performance will be given in the original French.
