The University Instrumental Club will make its first formal appearance since the Christmas trip on Friday, February 19, when a concert will be given at Brattle Hall.
An entire new program will be put on, and a hundred members of the organization will take part. Three units now comprise the clubs, the banjo, mandolin, and vocal groups will be represented. The Goal Coast orchestra will play for dancing afterwards.
The Brattle Hall concert is always the biggest feature of the local concerts given by the clubs, and is to include several specialty acts which will be announced later. The list of patronesses has not yet been filled, but will include the names of many prominent in University and Cambridge affairs.
Plans are under way now for the launching of another trip, to be mad during the Easter vacation, and to include New York and points East. The choice between Hartford, Providence, Springfield and Worcester has not been made yet. This trip, to take in only three days, will mark a big step forward in the progress of the club, as it will be the first time that two visits have been made to foreign territory for more than a day in the same college year! Southern trips were made in Easter of last year, and in the recent Christmas holidays.
