Due to the fact that the season is only a week old and the men have had very little chance to develop yet, no definite decisions were made on the strength of the first track trails which were held Saturday afternoon.
Several heats were run in the three quarter mile, in which all of the Freshmen and several of the University distance runners competed. A. H. O'Neil '28, R. G. Luttman '28, Leslie Flaksman '28, and L. J. Novogrod '27, for the University and G. W. Smith '29, A. S. Woodworth '29, A. D. Wildes ocC, and W. R. Driver '29, for the Freshmen turned in the best times in this event.
The most disappointing feature of the track season so far has been the dearth of Freshman candidates.
K. M. Rogers '26, H. R. Kobes '26, and R. T. Dunn '28 led the field in the 440-yd event, and S. M. Clarke '26, T. R. Hull ocC, and R. J. Learson '26, won the heats in the hurdles.
