Tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock, the entire Freshman class will assemble in the New Lecture Hall regardless of other official appointments, in order to hear a discussion on the rules and conditions controlling the choice of a field of concentration. The Committee on the Choice of Electives, under whose auspices the meeting will be held, has given discussions on the choice of a field during the past three years. The meeting tomorrow will be similar to those held in former years.
Lowell to Speak
President Lowell will be one of the three speakers who will explain the choice of a concentration field to the assembled members of the class of 1929. After he has covered the general ground, Assistant Professor R. M. Eaton, head tutor in the department of Philosophy, will speak on the relations of the student to his tutor. Assistant Dean Delmar Leighton '19 will be the third speaker, and will explain in detail the steps which the Freshman must take to enrol in a field of concentration, as well as the making out of a plan of study.
Crimson Analyzes Fields
In the adjoining columns today, and in tomorrow's issue, the CRIMSON is publishing undergraduate comment upon the fields of concentration. Pamphlets may also be had on application at University 2a, containing comment on concentration fields by the heads of the various departments or other members in them.
The men of the class of 1929 will be given until May 15 to make their decisions upon their concentration fields. Changes will, however, be freely allowed until the middle of the Sophomore year.
