The future of polo in the University will be considerably brightened if plans to be formulated by the Harvard Polo Association at its dinner a week from today in the Harvard Club of Boston are carried through successfully. With the possible exception of Thomas Hitchcock Jr. '22, most of the best polo players in the country will attend the meeting. The mallet-wielders who have signified their intention of being present include John Bishop, Clement Burnhome, G. M. Carnochan '14, R. L. Gerry '00, B. N. Hamlin, J. R. Macomber, G. S. Mandell '89, Q. A. S. McKean '13, Devereux Milburn '06, and H. L. Movius '02.
Inasmuch as most of the support for the University and Freshman teams comes from the Harvard Polo Association, whatever help it decides to give will be of great use to the teams. At the present time the squads have to be cut very stringently, because of the lack of suitable mounts for the players.
