HUPD Chief Says Harvard Yard Encampment is Peaceful, Defends Students’ Right to Protest
The Cercle Francais will give tonight the second and final performance of its annual fall production with the Presentation of three plays. "Les Precieuses Ridicules," by Moliere, "L'Intruse" by Maeterlinck, and "Gringoire" by Grenet-Dancourt. The curtain will rise this evening at the Fine Arts Theatre in Boston at 8.15 o'clock. The plays were given their first showing yesterday afternoon before a small but appreciative audience.
An unusual feature of this year's production is the use of modern terms, actions, and dress in the Moliere play, although the author's original lines are but little change. Y. H. Buhier '20, former president of the club, and W. B. Cowen, Jr. '29 are in charge of this year's presentation, assisted by W. F. Pederson '31, F. E. Bissel '31, N. B. Parker '30, W. M. Dunn '30, S. R. Johnson '29 and W. M. Randol Jr. '30.
