HARVARD CREWS LEAVE FOR AMERICAN HENLEY

HARVARD INVITATION REGATTA ENDS TODAY

The first 150-pound crew and the third University eight left for Philadelphia last night at 10.45 o'clock for their respective races in the American Henley Regatta. The 150-pound eight stroked by James de Normandie '29 will encounter the lightweight crews from Columbia, Pennsylvania, Princeton, and Yale, while the entries in the other race are as yet uncertain.

In the Harvard Invitation Regatta, J. S. Frame '29 won the Junior Singles contest yesterday afternoon while R. B. Thurber '30 and W. I. Stuart '29 triumphed in the double sculls race.

On Wednesday afternoon the Novice Singles event in which nine men raced was won by J. S. Frame '29. while J. W. Fox '31 won the wherry contest. The compromise race was taken by E. A. Renner '30. All of these contests were held over the half-mile costream course.

This afternoon the regatta will close with the Carroll Challenge Cup Race for single scullers, open to members of the University only. It will be rowed at 3 o'clock downstream over the mile course. Eight men are entered in the contest.
