HUPD Chief Says Harvard Yard Encampment is Peaceful, Defends Students’ Right to Protest
Reginald Henry Phelps of Southwick was chosen first marshal of the Phi Beta Kappa at the first meeting of the year which was held recently, it was announced yesterday. At the same time Edmund Callis Berkeley of New York City was elected to the position of second marshal.
The meeting was attended by the Junior eight of the Class of 1930 who are at present the only wearers of the Phi Beta Kappa key in the College.
Phelps who will have the distinction of leading the local chapter of the nation wide honorary group, is a member of the editorial board of the CRIMSON. Berkeley is president of the Harvard Liberal Club and is also a member of the University Glee Club.
