JARMAN AND MINNS ARE DAVISON SCHOLARS HERE

SCHOLARSHIPS CORRESPOND TO RHODES AWARDS

Thomas Leckie Jarman and Rowland Marindin Minns have been awarded the Davison Scholarships for this year, it was announced at University Hall this morning.

Jarman was an Exhibitioner of New College, Oxford, where he completed his third year before coming, to the United States. He had a distinguished academic record, was winner of the Stanhope History Essay Prize, and a former official of the University Liberal Club. A graduate of Bedales School, he will study history and economics at Harvard.

Minns was graduated from Eton, and a student for two years at Trinity, Cambridge. He had a distinguished record in Classics, and was Senior Scholar there. In preparation for entrance to the diplomatic service, he will study in the field of modern languages here.

These scholarships, which correspond to the Rhodes Scholarships for American university students at Oxford, were presented by Mrs. Henry P. Davison in 1922. They are in memory of her husband, and have as their aim the fostering of good will between the United States and Britain.
