With the midyear examinations practically over, the University hockey team will resume practice today exactly a fortnight after its game of January 15 when it trounced the Boston University sextet. Coach Stubbs has called the workout for 2 o'clock at the Boston Garden.
The entire University team will report plus Frothingham, Hallowell, McGregor, Martin, and Mays from the seconds, some of whom have worked out previously with the first squad. Practice will not be strenuous but will be in the nature of a light limbering up session with a drill for the forward lines probably winding up the day's work.
Harvard will be pointing for its game with Marquette next Wednesday, its first contest after the recess. Advance notices have it that the Golden Tornado will present a formidable defensive team, one of the strongest in the Middle West. The sextet from Milwaukee trounced Michigan Tech, the same team that the Crimson trampled under an 11 to 0 score, in a recent game.
What the Harvard line-up will be next Wednesday is hard to say but it is likely that Garrison will be at center, flanked by Putnam and Stubbs. Cunningham should be at one defense post, but the other is a tossup with Crosby being the likely choice. Ellis has about clinched the goalie job by now.
After the Marquette game the sextet will play its first objective game of the season when it journeys to Hanover to dedicate the new Dartmouth rink as the main attraction of the Winter Carnival.
