A NEW STILLMAN

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In a recent article in the Alumni Bulletin Dr. Worcester advocated the building of a new infirmary. The College has grown so rapidly of late years that the facilities of Stillman have become inadequate. Medical theories have advanced greatly during the last decades. New ideas have been developed which the present infirmary is unable to use because of obsolete equipment. It is virtually impossible to perform a major operation in the present operating room.

The only obstacle which stands in the way of a new infirmary is the lack of money. Harvard has provided housing facilities for her able bodied students. An extensive house plan has been created which will comfortably accommodate all men. The University should look to her students whether in sickness or in health. The estimated cost is six hundred thousand dollars which is not exorbitant when one considers that the price of the House Plan was fifteen million.
