CREW CUT REDUCES SQUAD TO FOUR COMBINATIONS

FOUR STROKES SURVIVE PROCESS OF ELIMINATION

The paring process of candidates for the University and Jayvee crews has resulted in a slash of the crew squad from eight to four combinations it was announced last night by Coach Whiteside. Today the four crews, from which it is expected that the first string oarsmen will be gleaned, will commence the last extensive workout period in the Newell Boathouse tank before the shells have been shipped onto the Charles.

The crews have been selected as follows:
