HARVARD CLUB OF BOSTON MAY OPEN RANKS TO SENIORS

Annual Report Advocates Move as Aid to Younger Graduates--Club Offers Many Privileges

The eligibility of undergraduates in Harvard College to membership in their Senior year to the Harvard Club of Boston will be decided upon at the annual meeting of the Club tonight at the Commonwealth Avenue clubhouse.

This change is recommended by President N. F. Ayer '00 in the annual report on the ground that, following graduation, college men become immediately preoccupied to such an extent with the commencement of their active lives in business or the professions that joining the Harvard Club of Boston is neglected for a time at least. If this amendment to the by-laws is adopted at the meeting tonight, all Seniors in Harvard College will be eligible for all the privileges of membership on the same basis that has heretofore been used in electing men after their graduation.

The completion of the plan to consolidate the structure at 380 Commonwealth Avenue with the main clubhouse, announced a year ago, and the further expansion of the Club's bedroom capacity are also fully outlined in the President's report. Three seventy-eight Commonwealth Avenue was purchased last June, and the building was transformed into bedrooms on the fourth, third, and second floors, with a writing and magazine room on the first floor.

The Club now has at the disposal of members a total of 55 bedrooms, some of them designed for rental at rates of $1.50 a day. Many of these rooms are rented by the month, but a large proportion are always available for transients.
