RECORD NUMBER PRESENT AT FIRST GOLF MEETING

25 Upperclassmen and 15 First Year Men Turn Out--Prospects Unusually Good for Season

A record number of 40 candidates, University and Freshman, were present at the opening meeting for golf enthusiasts, held yesterday evening. Of this group, 25 were upperclassmen, and 15 Freshmen. Arrangements have already been made for 24 to play at the Belmont Springs Country Club, and owing to the unusual number of aspirants, the accommodations will be increased as soon as possible.

Prospects for the season look exceptionally good, with five veterans returning, headed by Captain Phillips Finlay '31.

The schedule of matches arranged by Manager J. B. Baldwin '31 is as follows: May 3, Holy Cross; May 9, Pennsylvania at New Haven; May 10, Georgetown and Princeton at New Haven; May 17, Dartmouth at Lowell; May 23, Brown at Providence; May 24, Williams; May 30, Yale.
