DISCUSS INFORMALLY ROOM REGULATIONS

House Masters and Officials Talk Over Entertainment of Ladies

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Rules for entertainment of ladies in College dormitories were discussed the day before yesterday at a meeting of Masters of the seven Houses and officials of the University. The meeting was an informal one, and no announcement of decisions reached was made, but it is expected that a common agreement among the various units will be arrived at later.

A notice posted yesterday on the bulletin boards of Eliot House states that students may entertain ladies in their rooms with written permission of House authorities, and that this rule does not apply in the case of mothers and sisters. The notice in full reads as follows.

"All students wishing to entertain ladies in their rooms must receive written permission from the Master or the Senior Tutor; but this rule does not apply in the case of mothers and sisters.

"Students desiring such permission should consult the House secretary in N entry. Her office hours are from 9 to 1 a. m. on weekdays, and usually from 2 to 5, save on Saturdays.

"Such permission must always be obtained at least 24 hours beforehand.

"The hours for entertaining ladies are from 1 to 7 p.m."
