QUINTET OPPOSES NEW HAMPSHIRE IN CONTEST TONIGHT

Both Have Dropped Four Games During Season--Harvard Has One More Win to Credit

Fresh from its triumph over Clark University, the Harvard basketball team will attempt to add another victory to its record this evening when it plays host to New Hampshire. The game will take place in the New Indoor Athletic Building at 8 o'clock.

After praising the team for its steady improvement throughout the season, Coach Wachter stated yesterday that he was hopeful of a win. In the first games of the year the lack of height of both centers and guards proved a severe handicap. Lately, however, the team has been successfully using the defensive tap. That is, the men have so arranged themselves that no matter which center gets the jump, they have a good chance to get possession of the ball. This opening strategy, combined with accurate hook-passing over the heads of the opposing guards, puts the Crimson within scoring range.

The record of the New Hampshire quintet is practically on a par with that of Harvard. While both have dropped four contests, the Crimson has one more victory to its credit. Four of the five New Hampshire first-string men played together last year. With these men back the team will doubtlessly give the University men a close contest.

During the last few weeks G. H. Pattison '32 and W. J. Holland '32 have performed especially well. A Sophomore guard, W. A. Huppuch, although failing to make the Freshman team last year, has improved so much recently that he will probably see service tonight and in the remaining two contests.

Seconds Win

The Harvard Seconds, led by Captain Robert Dutton '31, defeated the Tufts Seconds, 37-7 in basketball last night in the new gymnasium.
