WRESTLING FINALS WILL BE HELD THIS AFTERNOON

CAPTAIN ROBERTSON TO APPEAR IN 165-POUND CLASS

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Semi-final preliminary bouts for the University wrestling tournament were held yesterday in the New Indoor Athletic Building. The finals will take place this afternoon beginning at 3.30 o'clock.

Several interesting matches were fought in the eliminations yesterday, the contest in the 175-pound semi-final between R. L. Gee 2L and E. P. Beveridge 1G being so close that two three-minute overtime periods were called. Gee finally won the bout on a slight time advantage. W. A. Robertson '31, Captain of the University wrestling team this year, won the right to appear in the finals when he defeated T. O. Trozier 2M in the 165-pound contest. H. G. Brown '32 was the victor over N. P. Beveridge 1G in the 155-pound division.

As was expected, a large number of graduate students came out for the eliminations. Only five members of the University and Freshman teams, however, participated in the tournament matches.
