The Harvard Chess Team is getting its organization under way this week preparatory to a season which includes matches with Dartmouth, Yale, Army, Penn State, matches in the Metropolitan League with teams around Boston, and an Intercollegiate Tournament at New York during the Christmas vacation.

The team is as yet unselected, but will be approximately the same as last year's team which won second place in the Metropolitan League and Second place in the Intercollegiates. Prospects for the coming year are encouraging and it is hoped that the team will regain the Intercollegiate championship it held two years ago.

A Freshman team will also be organized this year under the direction of B. M. Bowie '36, and will play matches with other Freshman teams and with preparatory school teams.
