R. B. Merriman '96, Gurney Professor of History and Political Science, will be the chairman of the debate between the Republican and the Democratic Clubs tonight in the dining room of Eliot House at 8 o'clock. The question is "Resolved, That Hoover should be reelected."

Edmund Mays '32, A. E. Phillips '34, and R. H. Amberg '33 will take the affirmative. D. M. Sullivan '33, Gerald Harrington '30, and N. P. Dodge '33 will uphold the negative of the question.

A Republican Club rally will be held for the entire University on November 2. E. L. Jahncke, Assistant Secretary of the Navy; G. G. Bacon '08, president of the Massachusetts Senate and candidate for Lieutenant-Governor; J. E. Warner '06, Attorney-General and candidate for reelection; Congressman Robert Luce '82; Leverett Saltonstall '14, Speaker of the Massachusetts House of Representatives; John Richardson '08, Republican National Committeeman from Massachusetts; Seth Richardson, Assistant Attorney-General of the United States and C. A. Herter '15, Publicity Manager of Massachusetts for the Republican National Committee will lead the rally with speeches on the coming Presidential and Congressional election.
