James Morrison Sampson of Brookline was chosen second assistant manager of soccer yesterday. Sampson, who is a member of the Class of 1935, will be Varsity manager in his Senior year. He prepared at Country Day School.
At the same time Whitney Gaylord Case of Buffalo, was selected as manager of the Freshman team, and Thomas James Gasson Tighe, of Lowell, as assistant Freshman manager. Case prepared at Avon Old Farms School, and Tighe at Phillips Andover Academy.
The soccer season will end with the Yale series on November 19 and 24. The Varsity is thus far undefeated, but has tied three games. The Freshman team has been beaten once, by Andover. The Junior Varsity has not yet won a game. Remaining contests for the Varsity include M.I.T., and the Yale series, while the Freshmen play Quincy High and Yale.
