Taking the lead early in the race, and nor relinquishing it from this point on, Arthur S. Pier '35, yesterday led Coach Mikkola's harriers to a sweeping victory over a strong Holy Cross team.

Harvard took four out of the first five places, with Kenney of Holy Cross third and Malloy finishing in sixth place. The scoring of the meet, which was based on the first five men finishing for each team, was Harvard 21; Holy Cross 34. The runners were widely separated as they neared the finish-line, and there were no closely fought battles for position, such s occurred last year, when Playfair outsprinted Kenney in the last hundred yards to break the tape.

The finishing order was as follows: Arthur S. Pier '35; Hayden Channing '37; E. Kenney (HC); Charles F. Woodard '35; Edvelle S. Roys '35; C. Malloy (HC); C. O'Connor (HC); H. Hayward (HC); E. H. Walker '37.

The Freshman squad won a close met by the score of 26-29. The race, which was run on the inside of the circular track around Soldiers Field, was won by A. C. Northrop of Harvard, in the time of 7.57.

The finishing order of the Freshman team was as follows: A. C. Northrop; J. McCae (HC); L. Lawrence (HC); W. J. Mixter; W. O'Connell (HC); G. Cummin; A. J. Clement; J. C. Eaton; J. K. P. deVaron; W. H. Wright; R. Crimmins; R. O. Jones; J. Morris (HC); J. Mahaney (HC); J. R. Weston, L. Redish (HC).
