THE HARRIS STATEMENT

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

To clear up any misunderstanding which may have been caused in Economics 3 yesterday when Seymour Harris '20, assistant professor of Economics, denied he had given the CRIMSON the statement on the gold decision, published Tuesday morning, the CRIMSON feels a statement of the facts are necessary.

An editor of the CRIMSON, also associated with a Boston paper, obtained the statement in question exactly as quoted from Mr. Harris for his metropolitan paper. Since it was given to the Boston press, the CRIMSON saw no reason for not publishing it in its own columns. Mr. Harris confirmed the authenticity of his gold statement last night.
