FRESHMAN BASKETEERS LOSE TO DEAN ACADEMY

Ill Luck Plagues Harvard Team, Slow To Start--Lee, Dampeer, Snell Share Scoring Honors

Continually dogged by ill-luck, the Harvard Freshman basketball team went down to another defeat last night in the curtain raiser of the evening's festivities, falling before Dean Academy by the score of 29 to 25.

The Samborskimen started slowly, and at half time found themselves facing a 14 to 8 deficit. In the second half they rallied, but were unable to pass the fast hard-playing quintet from Franklin.

For the Crimson Clubs, Lee, Dampeer, and Snell shared scoring honors with six points apiece. Giradi, Dean's sensational guard, annexed the amazing total of fifteen points, practically winning the game single handed. The summary: HARVARD '38  DEAN Shirk, Litman, r.f.  l.f., Pyrtek, Mercier McGowen, l.f.  r.f., Cottone Lee, Lowman, c.  c., Bellardinelli, Hutchinson Dampeer, r.g.  l.g., Martin, Legeoico Snell, l.g.  r.g., Giardi
