In a joint concert with the Radcliffe Choral Society the Glee Club will present a program of classical and folk music in the Sanders Theatre tomorrow evening at 8.15 o'clock. G. Wallace Woodworth will conduct, with Dr. Archibald T. Davison assisting in a special number by Gustav Holst.
Holst was a visiting lecturer here in the winter of 1932 when he was made an honorary member of the Glee Club and the Choral Society. Tomorrow the Club will sing "O Gladsome Light," a piece composed by Davison, as a memorial to him. In addition, Holst's "Dirge for Two Veterans" will be sung under the direction of Dr. Davison accompanied by brass and drums from the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
Bach and Handel- Anniversaries
Two numbers will also be dedicated to Bach and Handel in commemoration of the two hundred and fiftieth anniversary of their birth, an event which is being observed by musical societies all over the country.
Soloists will be James H. Goulder '36, singing "Brennan on the Moor," by Sommerset; Herbert V. Kibrick '38, who will sing "O Gladsome Light"; Nixon de Tarnowsky '35, singing England's "Spanish Ladies"; and F. Walter Huffman singing in the "Coronation Scene from Boris Godovnov," by Moussorgski.
