University of Maryland Student Receives $500 from Mercury

The March issue of "The American Mercury" announces that Leavitt Howard '36, of Hingham, Massachusetts has received Honorable Mention in "The Mercury's" $500 prize essay contest, in which undergraduates throughout the nation were asked to submit their ideas on the present state of the Union. The winning essay was written by Francis Cave, an undergraduate at the University of Maryland.
