Freshmen, Graduate Students Among Finalists in the Intramural Boxing Championships

Seven new University Intramural Boxing Champions, from the 115 to the 175 pound classes, were crowned last night as the final bouts were run off at the Indoor Athletic Building.

Arthur Oakes '38, last year's heavyweight champion, who lost to Douglas G. MacLeod '39 in the 165-pound class Thursday afternoon, changed to the 175-pound class and defeated Drexel A. Spreacher of the Law School to gain the title in this event.

All of the final bouts except one were won by decision. The results were as follows:

115-pound class--Richard J. Morah, Jr. '36 defeated P.O. Chatfield.

125-pound class--William S. Shrader '38 defeated Carl Kuchman.

135-pound class--Henry P. Sherlock '38 defeated Edward P. Richardson, Jr. '39.

145-pound class--R.C. Bell defeated Robert H. Delafield '38 by technical knockout.

155-pound class--Robert L. Green, Jr. '39 defeated Walter DuB. Brookings, Jr. '38.

165-pound class--Douglas G. MacLeod '39 defeated C.M. Condon.
