Like most organizations at Harvard the CRIMSON has a necktie, and, of course, a President as well.

This summer the President and a fellow member of the board were traveling in Munich. The fellow member had received an invitation through the CRIMSON to visit Herr Hanfstaengl, Harvard's stormy petrel of yesteryear.

One afternoon after lunch the fellow member having selected the most presentable of his dirty shirts, donned his CRIMSON necktie to pay his respects to "Hanfy." Thumbing his scarf he stepped into the President's room and said "See what I've put on to go calling in?"

With his best inimitable blankness the President gazed at the neckwear and said, "What are those, the Nazi colors?"
