Thomas H. Bilodeau '37, hard-hitting captain, shortstop, and all-around performer, leads a squad of prospective pitchers in the first baseball drill of the season this afternoon.

At least four hurlers of proved ability are expected to greet Coach Fred Mitchell at 2 o'clock in the Briggs Cage. Forming one pair are Edmund F. Ingalls '38; burly righthander, who carried a large part of the burden last year, and Richard M. Walsh, Jr. '37, southpaw.

Second pair of pitchers whom Mitchell will be watching are Harold M. Curtiss '39 and Donald Prouty '39. The former, with a battling sidearm delivery, and the latter a relief hurler, formed a nine inning combination on last year's undefeated Freshman team.

Other hurling possibilities include Peter L. Stone '39, and David W. Shean, Jr. '38, reserve infielder, who intends to try out on the mound.

On Monday, March 1, Clifton F. Kann '37, manager, will have the Cage raked up to receive the full squad of outfielders and infielders. As announced by him, a 28-game schedule features an annual spring trip with games at Washington, Navy, Virginia, Georgetown, and Columbia.

Taking a long range look, the strongest lineup puts Alfred H. Colwell '38 behind the plate. Ulysses S. Lupien '39, now playing basketball, a long range hitting lefthander, is expected to take over the first sack. Fighting it out for second base will be Shean and Arthur L. Johns '39. Freshman captain, both of whom are fast afield but light at bat. Bilodeau plans to play shortstop, and either Frank J. Owen '37, veterau, or Frederick W. Heckel, 3d. '39, will complete the infield at third.

Competing in the outfield are veteraus, the erratic Malcolm R. McTernan, Jr. '37, David B. MacIntosh '37, Owen, or possibly James Sullivan '38, who was used last year as a substitute first baseman.

Graduation took three key men Brahman Gibbs '36, Captain Richard Maguire '36, and Harraut J. Adsignian '36 from last year's outfit, which tied Dartmouth for the League championship.
