Coach Jack Barnaby, substituting for Harry Cowles, who has been ill, spoke informally yesterday afternoon at preliminary meetings of Varsity and Freshman tennis candidates at the Linden Street Squash Courts.

Barnaby, while definitely unenthusiastic about the Varsity prospects, was delighted with the Freshman material.

Among last year's letterman who will play this spring are: Captain James J. Fuld '37, Richard M. Dorson '37, Hubert H. Hauck '38, George F. Lowman '38, Anderson Page, '37, and Alvah W. Sulloway '38.

Yardling Coach Hup Wallace has listed the following Freshman as promising courtmen: David S. Burt, Langdon B. Gilkey, Chester A. Legg, Jr., Walter P. Muther, and John G. Palfrey, Jr.
