Yardling Boxers Lose Close Match to M.I.T. Freshmen

Crimson's Kelley Takes Opponent in Close Decision

Before a small but enthusiastic crowd, the Crimson yearling leather-pushers dropped its second and last match of the season last night to the M.I.T. Freshman. The final score was four and one half to three and one half.

The outstanding bout of the evening was the 145 pound division tilt between Henry W. Kelley for Harvard and Greenwood for M.I.T. Both boys, although un-experienced, hit hard and often. Kelley's better condition gave him the decision.

Fast and furious was the fracas between Tech's mustachioed Menendez and Ben Wood in the 175 pound class. A hard overhand right smash gave Wood a KO in the first stanza, putting the score at three and one half all.

The final bout, the heavyweight division, Moses Hallett for the Yardlings and Morehouse for the Technicians, brought the deciding point to the visitors. Referee Johnny Martin stopped the bout in the first minute of the second round for a technical knockout.
