Coach Fred Mitchell will varsity fall practice this year, renewing a policy discontinued two years ago. The fall session will be held chiefly to uncover talent for next spring's varsity team.
The practices are aimed primarily to give Coach Mitchell an opportunity to work with men who played in the past on the junior varsity and freshman baseball teams, and will last until cold weather.
There is an urgent need of fall practice because the nine suffered some heavy losses, particularly from a hitting standpoint, by graduation, and last spring also showed a lack of good reserve strength.
It will be possible for some entering Freshmen to participate in the fall work and any such Freshmen should see varsity manager S. Gray Thoron '38 at the H.A.A. at one o'clock tomorrow.
