Skating to victory on a floor waxed to the glossiness of a ballroom floor, the Yale Freshmen routed the Yardling basketballers 63-31 Saturday afternoon at New Haven.
The Elis hit the hoop with monotonous regularity, while the Yardlings were unable to cope with the court, which had been polished the preceding evening for the Junior Prom. Their attack, relying chiefly upon faking and cutting rather than height, was completely destroyed.
A late-game rally just fell short of bringing the Crimson Jayvees victory, as they dropped their final game to Yale in the Varsity preliminary 53-49.
