LAMAR'S JAYVEE SQUAD SET FOR INDIAN TILT

In their first clash of the current season Coach Henry Lamar's Jayvee football warriors take the field against a strong Dartmouth Jayvee eleven this afternoon on Soldiers Field.

Led by veterans Sherman Hoar and Gus Soule, the squad will be gunning for the second victory in as many years over the Indian Jayvees. Although several backs are now in their positions, the team should be nearly as strong as last year's undefeated squad, as there are a number of returning veterans.

Withington to Kick

The starting lineup finds Loth Withington in the fullback spot and from that spot he will be called on for much of the kicking. In the left half slot will be Cliff Helman, who will have the veteran Hoar as a running mate in the other half back position. Rod Townsend will start as field-general, alternating in that spot with Hoar. Hal Tine and Ted Lyman are also set for action in the backfield.

In the Crimson line, Soule at right guard, Tudor Gardiner at left right guard, and Wood at left tackle will feel the brunt of the Dartmouth attack. John Dimeff and Sears hold down the starting end posts and Sheldon Dietz is entrenched in the center post.

A series of knee injuries has hindered the team immensely and it is still indefinite as to whether right tackle Jock Armstrong will start, depending on the condition of his knee. John "Whizzer" White, able kicker and field general, and Robby Robinson are also on the bench with lame knees.

The Dartmouth squad is still an unknown quantity but threatens to give the Lamarmen a tough battle.
