FORTY-SIX NAMED AS JUNIOR USHERS AT COMMENCEMENT

Class Day Committee Sends Cards to Eighty Juniors, Receives Forty-Six Answers

Forty-six Juniors have accepted their invitations to serve as ushers at the Commencement program, it was announced yesterday by Frederick Holdsworth '40, head usher. Between ten and fifteen more men will be chosen to serve.

Douglas Mercer and Philip C. Neal will assist Holdsworth in heading the committee of Juniors which is in charge of escorting guests to their seats and arranging the fetes of the Commencement program. Last year 63 men from the present Senior class held the positions.

Committee Appoints

The appointments of Holdsworth, Mercer and Neal to the executive positions of the group were announced last week by the Class Day Committee. The Committee sent out cards to a list of 80 Juniors and have received answers from these 46.

The selection of the Junior Ushers completes the selection of officers for the Commencement program with the exception of the Ivy Orator, who will be picked before May 17.
