Mixed Residence Will Provide For Foreign Students

Group Organize an International House For Foreigners, Americans

In an effort to alleviate the rooming problem which now exists for about 270 foreign students enrolled in the University, the International Club is organizing an International House which next year will provide lodgings and accommodations for a mixed group of about 30.

Expecting University cooperation, the club decided Saturday to rent a house beginning next Fall, in which the students will reside. Similar to the International House at Chicago University, the plans call for a resident body that will be 50 per cent American and 50 per cent foreign.

According to Jacob M. Hagopian 1G, recently elected president of the International Club, a sufficient number of American students have already expressed a desire to be a part of the undertaking.

The club, which consists mainly of graduate students, Saturday sent a delegation of 12 to a gathering of international students at the University of New Hampshire.
