8 Frosh Crews Rowing In Boathouse Tanks; to Be on River March 10

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Five heavy and three light Freshman crews have been working out in the indoor tank at Newell Boathouse since the rowing season officially started. Expecting to be on the river by March 10, Coach Harvey Love plans to cut the heavies down to three crews by the time of Spring Vacation, through which be will row the crews twice a day.

Noncommittal about prospects this early in the season, Love described the crew as "coming along as well as can be expected." The squad this year, he said, is a little more experienced, but smaller, than last year's crew.
