Crimson Scores in First, Second and Fourth Quarters

A fightnig Harvard Junior Varsity team opened its season yesterday afternoon at Soldiers Field by trouncing the Northeastern Freshmen 26 to 0.

Scoring once in the first quarter, again in the second quarter and twice in the last quarter, the Crimson Jayvees never let their opponents get started. When it did get the ball, Northeastern featured passes and tricky laterals, none of which gained much ground.

The game's first touchdown was set up when John Sosman intercepted a pass and raced 35 yards to Northeastern's 20 yard line. From here the Crimson bucked the ball over the goal line in about six plays.

The second touchdown was the result of a down-the-field march, as was the game's last score. But the third touchdown was the product of two long runs on the part of Bob Chase, who put his team within easy striking distance of Northeastern's end zone.
