LONDON -- Britain tonight ordered men 25 and 26 years old to register for military service in April, and it was estimated that eventually they would swell Britain's rapidly expanding army by at least 500,000 men.

This was the first time two age groups have been called upon to register within one month and was regarded as further evidence of London's intention speedily to form a huge army.
