Eliot Eight Meets Trumbull College Tomorrow on Charles

Professor Merriman's favorite charges, the Eliot House crew, faces its acid test tomorrow morning when it comes up against the champion Yale eight, Trumbull College, over the mile course.

The Elephants have swept the river so far this year and should win the engagement easily, according to pre-race dope. In a mile test yesterday the first Eliot boat slugged over the mile course to finish a deck-length ahead of the second Eliots. Two lengths back was a Union Boat Club eight stroked by Spike Chace, whose name still makes every good Yale crew devotee shudder.
