Right on the heels of the graduation for the second class from the Army Chaplain School, the third group moved in yesterday for their 28-day training period. Saturday 260 military ministers, including 20 who had seen service in previous wars, were given diplomas by Chaplain (Col.) William D. Cleary, commanding officer of the school.
Col. Philip Hayes, formerly in charge of the military ROTC unit at the University, and now Chief of Staff of the First Service Command, was the Commencement speaker. Previous to the ceremonies in Sanders Theatre, a review was held on the parade ground in front of Andover Hall at the Divinity School.
