Samuel S. Stratton, Associate Professor of Business Administration, has formally resigned from his position in the Business School to accept the Presidency of Middlebury College, it was announced by the University this weekend.
Stratton is a graduate of Dartmouth College who received his A. M. and Ph.D. at Harvard in 1920 and 1928 respectively, having then become an instructor on Economics. Since then he served as an Associate Professor of Business Economics, Assistant Professor of Finance, and an Associate Professor of Business Administration.
In order to assume his now duties immediately at the Vermont college, Stratton has tendered his resignation here, effective January 1.
