Starting off the winter term with the promise of performances at least equal to those in peacetime, the Harvard Glee Club and Radcliffe Choral Society held their first rehearsal of the new semester in Sever 11 at 7 o'clock last night.

Although the Yale and Princeton glee clubs have discontinued their activities for the duration, the Harvard and Radcliffe singers plan an extensive schedule of concerts for the winter months. The girls of Smith College will play host to the Harvard group at Northampton November 20, and a trip to New York, involving concerts with Sarah Lawrence and Connecticut Junior College, has been tentatively arranged for the weekend of February 12. The joint concert with Sarah Lawrence is scheduled for Town Hall in New York City on Saturday, February 12, and the singers will be in New London, Conn.. for a performance the following afternoon.

Concerts may possibly be arranged with Westbrook Junior College and Bradford Junior College during the coming months, and the Glee Club will join with the Radcliffe Choral Society for several performances in the spring, climaxed by the annual Pension Fund Concert with the Boston Symphony Orchestra under Serge Koussevitzky on April 30. Bach's B Minor Mass will be the major work presented by the chorus and the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

While expressing optimism over prospects for the coming season, Glee Club Manager Paul Morgan '45 warned all prospective singers that this Thursday's rehearsal would be the last opportunity to display their talents before the men who are to make the trip to Northampton are selected
