John D. Eusden '44, of Dunster House and Newton was elected captain of the Crimson swimming team yesterday afternoon. The sprint star succeeds graduating Bill Drucker who ended his College tank career against Penn before examination period.
Eusoon who also captained his Freshman swimming team holds New England Junior A.A.U. records in the 50 and 100 yard free style events. He set both marks last weekend while leading Coach Hal Ulen's men to a victory in the Worcester Boys Club meet.
The new captain enrolled in the Marine Reserve, will probably be around until the end of the current season. He takes over an undefeated squad which has won four successive meets, two of which have been in Ivy League competition.
