ERC Men Leave College For Induction at Fort Devens

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Leaving today for Fort Devens, 117 men will say goodbye to Harvard for the duration. They are the members of the Enlisted Reserve Corps who received their orders to report for induction 11 days ago, after waiting since December, when the news of their future call to active duty was released.

Each class is well represented in the contingent, which is the first to leave the College in a body before graduating. They will spend only a few days at Devens, then go on to primary training centers, perhaps to return to school under the new programs, perhaps to be sent to OCS.
