MADRID--Gen. Francisco Franco said today that Spain belongs to Europe and warned that fascism has doomed the "liberal world."
Addressing the new Falaugist Party council, he praised the political philosophies of Germany and Italy as well as Spain, but showed no inclination to bring his country into the war.
However, if Spain should be forced into the war, he said the country "would fight even harder" than did his forces during the Spanish civil war.
