Assuming a responsibility normally belonging to the Undergraduate Athletic Council, the Student Council appointed three men to the Committee for Regulation of Athletic Sports, governing body of the H. A. A.
Thomas N. Bridge '44, NROTC, of V-12 Barracks and Franklin, Ohio; Worth B. Daniels '46, of Lowell House and Fort Bragg, North Carolina; and Paul F. Perkins '45, NROTC, of v-12 Barracks and Brookline were the men chosen.
Formerly composed of the captains and managers of all athletic teams, the undergraduate Athletic Council had folded because of an acute shortage of members, One of its jobs was to select the three undergraduates to serve on the H. A. A. committee.
Major Sports Represented
Bridge and Perkins, because of their association with varsity athletics, will represent major sports, while Daniels, now residing in Lowell, will acts as a delegate for House Sports. Last year Bridge was captain of the lacrosse team and hi appointment to the committee leaves him as the only holdover. Perkins was a fullback on the Varsity football squad and Daniels was active on House teams.
Among the regular members of the committee are Dean A. Chester Hanford, Carroll F. Getchell, administrative official of the H. A. A. and William J. Bingham, Director of Physical Education and Athletics, now on leave from the University.
