SOCCER MEN WIN OVER FRENCH, 4-2

Defeating a team from the Free French Navy, the Crimson soccer squad chalked up their second triumph of the year by a score of 4 to 2 at Soldiers Field Saturday afternoon. The soccer men led all the way and avenged the defeat suffered a week ago at the hands of the same French sailors.

Coach Jack MacDonald was greatly encouraged by the improvement that the squad has shown. Playing without several of their most experienced men, the team managed to score four times to win the game. The Crimson attack was headed by Roy Heisler '47, who booted over three tallies. Pete Jessner '47 registered the fourth goal.

A delay resulted when the French team, unused to American rules, protested the substition of players by Harvard.

In a previously played game, the Crimson booters topped a team of Turkish graduates from M. I. T. Their record up to the present is two games won and one lost.
