Variety of Plays Scheduled For July-August Barnstorm

"Variety" and "Billboard" didn't have their representatives there, but girls from Boston's only co-ed college with a summer term opened on the local strawhat legit circuit last night, putting George Bernard Shaw's play, "You Never Can Tell,' from the Samuel French listing of the same name, on the boards of the Emerson College Theatre.

With box office receipts nil, though reservations are required, 'the Emerson girls and their male counterparts will close on GBS tomorrow night, but will present a new play every other Wednesday, to run of the two following nights, until August 17.

Second Show: "Once Is Enough"

To the delight of its jocular critics, the feminine stock company, augmented by advanced summer players, many with professional experience at Plymouth and in Cambridge, will have, for its second presentation opening August 1. "Once is Enough."

The College's playhouse, now in its fourth year, is in back of Emerson's main building, on 130 Beacon Street right across the Charles.
