Chasemen Edged By Cadets, 4 to 3

Two Goal Rally Falls Short Of Early Cadet Advantage

Nosed out by a score of 4 to 3, Coach Chase's Varsity hockey team suffered its fourth consecutive defeat in a game played at West Point on Friday. The Crimson sextet, three goals behind at the start of the third period, rallied desperately with two markers before the Cadet defense stiffened.

After John Crocker had put the Crimson skaters ahead with an unassisted goal at 7:45 of the first period, the Army took over. Paced by Moses' two counters, the Cadets made the next four scores and held a comfortable 4 to 1 margin as the last stanza commenced.

Rally in Third Period

That was as far as the West Pointers were destined to get, however, for the Crimson then took the center of the stage. Bob Feloney scored at 1:00 and Bill Ayres followed him up with another at 4:15 to cut the Army lead to one scant marker. But here the rally ended, as the two teams remained deadlocked for the rest of the contest.

The B team fared better than their colleagues, scoring a 5 to 4 victory at Exeter.
