Thursday on the Soldiers Field courts the Jayvee tennis team defeated Newton High School by the score of 8 to 1. Joe Caldwell, Bill Mayleas, Bernard Edison, and Fred Flickinger took singles matches for the Crimson. Yesterday on the home courts the Freshman racqueteers edged Governor Dummer Academy 5 to 4 with George Bennello, Travis Graham, and Charlie Rankin taking their matches for the Crimson.
